Propylene Glycol IP/FFG is an organic chemical compound which finds application as plasticizer & softening agent, emulsifier, solvent, stabilizer, & humectant. It is viscous colorless liquid having molecular formula C3H8O2 with molar mass of 76.095 g/mol. This compound is miscible in acetone, chloroform, & water and shows density of 1.036 g/cm3. It has boiling point of 188.2 degrees Celsius with melting point of -59 degrees C. Propylene Glycol IP/FFG is also utilized for production of polymers, food processing, and in pharmaceutical industries.
