About BUTYL ACETATE
Butyl Acetate is colorless ester which finds application in food processing industry as synthetic fruit flavoring agent. It has boiling & melting points of 126.1 & -78 degrees Celsius respectively with density of 0.8825 g/cm3. This compound has low solubility in water of 0.68g/100 ml and is miscible in EtOH. It is highly pure in nature and has characteristic fruity odor due to which it is used for flavoring baked items, ice creams, and cheeses. Butyl Acetate can industrially be produced by Fischer esterification using butanol & acetic acid in presence of catalyst. It can be availed at highly competitive rates in large quantities as demanded by our clients.
